Voluntary Recall of Hyland's Teething Tablets

In a news release dated October 23, 2010, the Standard Homeopathic Company which manufactures Hyland's Teething Tablets, issued a voluntary recall of the following products:

4. Hyland's Teething Tablets, 50 tablets, UPC # 3 54973 75044
5. Hyland's Teething Tablets, 145 tablets, UPC # 3 54973 75121
6. Hyland's Teething Tablets, Clip Strip 6x125 tablets, UPC # 3 54973 35109

Hyland's Teething Tablets is an OTC (over-the-counter) homeopathic children's product for soothing and providing temporary relief of teething symptoms. President and Chief Pharmacist of Standard Homeopathic Company, Mark Phillips, PharmD, stated in the release that the voluntary recall was initiated "to ensure our consumers know that their families' safety and health are our top priorities."

All-Natural Waxing

OK, so I know what you're thinking. "All-Natural" means no hair removal at all. Well, I agree. But if you really want to get rid of the fuzzies and don't want to buy plastic razors or shell out for expensive wax treatments that could contain harsh chemicals, check out this recipe:

• 1 cup sugar
• 2 TBSP water
• 2 TBSP lemon juice
• small sauce pan
• butter knife or popsicle stick
• several cotton or linen fabric scraps cut into 3x5in. strips (old sheets and dishcloths work great)

If you make too much, you can refrigerate it for later, and the strips can be recycled out of any old fabric. I think it's a great idea. Many people aren't going to go hair free all the way, all the time, and this is a good alternative to shaving.
